Using basketball as a teaching tool, First Step Youth Foundation has transformed the lives of many young men and women. The Documentary "First Step: A Child's Family Away From Family", chronicles the organization from its' inception, to its' closing to its' revival. Alumni include professional and NBA players Anthony Davis and Jabari Parker, Dr. Precious Gaddis and Dr. Kenneth Furlough, Chef/Restaurant Owner Kristen Harper and countless productive citizens from many different walks of life.

The Documentary was the winner of the 2018 “Best Family Documentary” at the
Culver City Film Festival and is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
